Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2026

Autonomy Emirates Media ("we", "us", "our") is a social media management agency based in the United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information you share with us through our website at autonomyemiratesmedia.ae and via our intake forms.

By using our website or submitting any of our forms, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

When you contact us, request a trial, or submit any form on this website, we collect the following information directly from you:

  • Identity data — your full name.
  • Contact data — your email address and (if you choose to share it) a phone number.
  • Business information — your business name, business type, location (Emirate), website, existing social media handles, brand description, audience, goals, and any other operational details you share to help us provide a quote or onboard your account.
  • Technical data — limited browser, device, and usage data collected automatically through privacy-conscious analytics (page views, referrer, approximate location). We do not use cross-site tracking pixels.

We only collect information that is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information you provide to:

  • Respond to enquiries you send via our contact and trial forms;
  • Assess whether our services are a fit for your business and prepare proposals or onboarding materials;
  • Deliver our social media management services if you engage us, including managing your branded accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Google Business;
  • Send service updates, reports, invoices, and operational communications relating to your account;
  • Improve our website, services, and content offering;
  • Comply with our legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations in the UAE.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising profiling.

3. Lawful Basis

Where applicable, we rely on the following lawful bases to process your personal data:

  • Consent — when you submit a form or sign up for our trial, you consent to our processing of your information for the purposes described above.
  • Contract — to provide the services you have engaged us for.
  • Legitimate interests — to run, secure, and improve our business in a way that does not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to retain records under UAE law.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your information is stored on secure servers operated by reputable cloud providers, and access is restricted to authorised members of the Autonomy Emirates Media team on a need-to-know basis.

We apply industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and routine review of accounts and permissions — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

We retain your data only for as long as is necessary to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations (typically up to 5 years for tax and accounting records under UAE law), and resolve any disputes. After that period, your information is securely deleted or anonymised.

5. Third-Party Tools and Service Providers

To operate our business, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers. Each provider only receives the information they need to perform their function, and each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

  • Tally (tally.so) — hosts the contact and trial intake forms embedded on this website. Submissions are transmitted to Tally and made available to us through their dashboard. See Tally's privacy policy.
  • Metricool — we use Metricool to schedule, publish, and report on content across the social platforms you have authorised us to manage on your behalf. Authentication is handled directly between you and the respective social platform.
  • Google — we use Google Workspace for email and document storage, and may use Google Analytics or Google Business Profile tools where relevant. Google processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
  • Hosting and infrastructure — this website is served as a static site through a reputable CDN. Limited server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) may be retained for security and abuse prevention.

We do not transfer your personal data to any party for marketing purposes.

6. International Transfers

Some of the third-party providers listed above are based outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure those transfers are made to jurisdictions that offer an adequate level of data protection, or are made under appropriate safeguards consistent with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, "PDPL").

7. Your Rights Under UAE PDPL

Autonomy Emirates Media is committed to operating in line with the principles of the UAE PDPL. Subject to the conditions of the law, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how your personal data is processed;
  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • Request deletion of your personal data where no overriding legal basis to retain it applies;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing of your personal data;
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand);
  • Request the transfer of your personal data in a structured, commonly-used format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@autonomyemiratesmedia.ae with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

This website uses essential cookies only — for example, to remember preferences such as cursor mode. We do not use advertising cookies. Embedded third-party content (such as Tally forms) may set their own cookies, governed by their respective privacy policies.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so that we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the effective date updated accordingly. Material changes will be communicated to current clients directly.
